Now here’s a useful, free open-source application. Democracy Player hopes to be your one-stop media application for watching video, listening to podcasts, and automatically aggregating and storing content from around the Web via RSS and BitTorrent feed subscriptions (via Dave Zatz). So, basically, all you need to do is add you favorite video or podcast sites’ RSS feeds to the player and it will supply you with the latest content, ready for viewing, in convenient user created channels. It’s also worth pointing out that the developers are planning in making the player cross-platform compatible, meaning you’ll be a seeing not only Windows version, but an Apple and Linux version available for download.
