Virgin Launches Music Subscription Service

virgin logoVirgin Group Ltd launched their very own music subscription service, dubbed Virgin Digital Red Pass, this past Monday (via Reuters). The service, which complies with Microsoft’s PlaysForSure technology by using protected WMA files instead of MP3s, will run only $7.99 a month without any contracts.

  • Over 2 million tracks from over 15,000 record labels
  • Restore previously downloaded tracks after renewing service or computer failure
  • Large collection of pre-configured mixes that can be automatically downloaded to a PlaysForSure compatible digital music player
  • Over 60 Internet Radio Stations
