Starting today WD TV Live Plus ($129.99) and WD TV Live Hub ($199.99 w/ 1TB of network storage) owners will now be able to access Hulu Plus (at $7.99/mo) alongside Netflix, Blockbuster, Cinema Now, Pandora, YouTube, Facebook, and other services with the company’s latest firmware update. Like other devices of this kind, however, free access to Hulu standard is not an option. Also new… SHOUTcast radio streaming — but it’s only available to WD TV Live Hub (it’s not exactly clear why that is).

The Hulu Plus subscription service will let WD TV customers in the U.S. watch nearly every episode from dozens of current hit programs all season long from top networks like ABC, Comedy Central, FOX, MTV, NBC, and VH-1. It offers users a wide variety of series from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, South Park, Modern Family and Grey’s Anatomy, to Glee and Family Guy, to The Office and 30 Rock, dozens of classic shows like Battlestar Galactica, The X-Files, Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, Arrested Development, Saturday Night Live, Miami Vice, Ugly Betty, Quantum Leap, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Roswell and Ally McBeal, and hundreds of movies from Miramax and the Criterion Collection
