Rovi and Delivery Agent are announcing today that they have formed a partnership that will bring TV owners with Rovi-powered EPGs the ability to make purchases of related goods showcased within or connected to specific programs using only their TV remote. As you can see in the screenshot above, The Biggest Losers’ program page displays a bodybugg armband that can help viewers track their fitness goals just like the participants in the show. Below is how a show listing with a related product (see “SHOP” badge) will notify people that there’s a related product attached to the program page. The new service will roll out in Q2 2011, initially with The Biggest Losers, The Office, Pawn Shop, and will require one to sign-up for a “TV Wallet” account in order to make purchases.
