Iomega Partners with Boxee for Its All New Iomega TV Product Line

iomega tv

Looks like the Boxee Box just got out boxed by a partner OEM. Iomega TV is a Boxee-powered media streamer with up to 2TB of internal storage. Think of it as a perfect competitor to the WD TV Live Hub. The Iomega TV, like the WD TV Live Hub, can function as a DLNA media server and NAS device for backing up your important files. Additionally, it can be accessed remotely to create a personal cloud. Spec-wise… Iomega TV leverages the same Intel CE4100 processor used by the Boxee Box, but this model offers both HDMI (HD) and Composite (SD) video out connection options. Also different is the remote. It now includes shortcut buttons like search, volume up/down, home, power on/off to complement the d-pad and QWERTY keyboard on the back (closeup photos). Starting price is $229. The 1TB model is $299 and the 2TB model is $349. Availability: early 2011. More details should be revealed at CES. [viavia / via]
