Apple Unveils the Magic Trackpad for Desktop Users

If the Magic Mouse isn’t doing it for you, Apple is introducing the industrial strength Magic Trackpad. Apple says: “The Magic Trackpad brings the intuitive Multi-Touch gestures of Mac notebook trackpads to the desktop.” Users will get full touch scrolling, pinch to zoom, swipe, rotate, etc. via the glass and aluminum Bluetooth peripheral. What’s more, the $69 Magic Trackpad can be configured to support single or two button commands, as well as tap-to-click. Only negative: there’s no USB connection option — you have to rely on rechargeable AA batteries to keep it going.
UPDATE: The Magic Trackpad is now Windows XP/Vista/7 compatible. However, it sounds like the new 32bit driver currently only works with a Boot Camp installation of Windows.
