Rumor: Apple’s Upcoming ‘Cloud’ Play Will Include Media Streaming to iDevices

BGR is reporting that a reliable source has informed them that Apple’s upcoming cloud-based media streaming service will provide the ability for customers to 1) stream music and movies purchased through iTunes directly from Apple’s servers to their computers and other iDevices; 2) stream stored media from their home computers (possibly also from Apple’s Time Capsule) to other remote iDevices and PCs; 3) provide wireless iTunes syncing across multiple players (unclear if that means playlists will be synced up and/or all your cataloged media). It all sounds pretty good, if the information is accurate. To me it’s the next logical step — and it plays well with the info regarding the rumored $99 Apple TV device. Hopefully, Apple won’t charge users extra for the privilege like they do with MobileMe, though I’m guessing they’ll find a way.
