New Handheld Wireless PC Controller Features QWERTY Keyboard and Touchpad

If you have $62 to spare and a Windows PC you’d like to control from a distance, you should definitely consider picking up the USB Wireless Handheld Keyboard and Touchpad at USB Geek. The product design makes so much sense, it’s surprising no one has come up with it yet. It kind of reminds me of the Peek email/twitter handheld or the Palm Treo — but with the display swapped out for a touchpad. As you’ll see in the video below, this RF controller is a lot easier to handle than a traditional wireless HTPC keyboard, which usually takes up most of your lap while typing. [via]

UPDATE: We got tipped off by jacksonlnm in the comments that you can pick up this same controller (in white or black) for $40 at efo.buy-lowest.com (the store’s promo video is attached below). In addition, the site also mentions that the controller is compatible with Mac and Linux as well.

ZeeVee offers something of the sort with its ZvRemote. But it will run you $99 and it doesn't have a full QUERTY keyboard.

Another option could be one of the hundreds of iPhone/iPod Touch apps. Again, no hardware keys, but on the upside – the keyboard could be localized ('coz u know, there are other other languages than English out there) ;)

What you say is true! And I also forgot to mention that ZvRemote requires a receiver (an additional $30 purchase).

So, for the money, it's anyone's best bet.

Yeah, I've seen the ZvRemote. It's not bad. But what makes this product compelling, IMHO, is that it's an inexpensive dedicated device that has a very usable form factor (similar to the Logitech diNovo Mini). Not everyone has or wants an iPhone or iPod touch. This is a product you wouldn't mind tossing to a person near you or get bent out of shape over if you found your small dog trying to chew on it.

This isn't even a contender, IMO. Put another $30 and get a quality effort like the Logitech diNovo mini.

Give you a tips. No need to be so expensive. Juse require US 45, and go to the site http://efo.buy-lowest.com . Then you can buy one of this product include shipment. Spread out this information and let all the interest people enjoy such benefit.

Yeah, if all you need is something you don't mind if your kids tear it apart or your dog chews on it, then this is probably the right choice. I picked one up and quality was not the focus when they made this product, low price was clearly the goal. Mine actually popped apart with very little effort. I am probably of the camp of spending a bit more and getting something like the Dinovo Mini or a GlideTV Navigator
