D-Link’s DivX Connected Media Extender Gets Flash Video Support


As you can see in the above image (and other photos) taken by Dave Zatz, the D-Link DSM-330 is having no problem displaying and playing back Flash video content from sites like Hulu, YouTube, and ABC News. The latest Flash plug-in support has been rolled into Beta Release 1.4.0 build 54. However, the catch with all this Flash goodness is… users have to download individual website property plug-ins to display the content. In other words, you can’t just enter a URL of a flash-based site you like to view and have it automatically supported on the device. A full list of DivX Connected 1.4 plug-ins can be found here.
