T-Mobile Rolls Out $9.99 a Month @Home Service

T-Mobile @Home HiportI was just browsing T-Mobile’s website and noticed that the company is now offering unlimited (day/night/weekend) nationwide home phone service for just $10 bucks a month. That’s huge! The $9.99 plan requires the purchase of a T-Mobile @Home HiPort Wireless Router that you can connect up to two standard phones and/or a T-Mobile HotSpot enabled phone. Granted, you have to have a working high-speed Internet connection for the service to work. But, hey… what a deal.

Service includes: call hold, call waiting, caller ID, voicemail with message alert, and discounted long distance calls to Canada and Mexico. Optional CallerTunes, for customized ring tones that your caller hears, is also available.

It might be more interesting to see zControl in action. VoIP and IPTV is not something special now. But home automation via broadband router sounds nice.
