uControl Demo at CONNECTIONS 2008

One of the hot topics at CONNECTIONS 2008 is home automation in relation to the Digital Home. Being the case, I caught up with one of the up and coming companies providing a whole-home solution that ties into set-top boxes, PCs, and touch panels called uControl. In brief, the uControl platform offers home security, lighting control, thermostat, smart grid power control, multi-room media distribution, web widgets, instant alerts, and home health monitoring using open industry standards.
