HomeNet Manager Demo at CONNECTIONS 2008

I was a little surprised I’ve never heard of this company. SingleClick Systems is a small startup that has created a software application, called the HomeNet Manager, that monitors your home’s connected devices, firewalls, and broadband connection speed. It also allows for easy file and printer sharing. But, that not all it does… HomeNet Manager additionally provides remote access so users can stream their home PC’s music, photo, and video content (transcoded on the fly) to any mobile device (with data access and a browser) or PC through a secure login connection. Have a look at the demo for more details or take it for a spin for 30 days at no charge. (UPDATE: It looks like the new “remote access” function hasn’t been implemented in the trial version at present.)

  • Thanks for the update, SysRun. The rep did say the "remote access" feature was new. I'm guessing they haven't added it to the trial version yet or it's only turned on with the paid version -- not sure.
