Future Tech: Navigate Portable Media Devices via Eye Winks
Reuters is reporting that Kazuhiro Taniguchi of Osaka University’s Graduate School of Engineering Science has developed a sensor adapter, which can be embedded into headphones or eye glasses, that will allow wearers to pause, play, and move through music tracks on their Apple iPod via intentional skin movements produced by eye wink commands. Pretty wild stuff…. Taniguchi claims that the technology is smart enough to not misinterpret signals even while eating, talking, walking, or running. So how does it work? Tanguchi explains: “Wink strongly for one second with one eye to rewind, use the other to skip to the next song, or close both eyes to pause and play.” [Image Credit: Chocokat]
