Woot! Amazon MP3 Store Now Linux-Friendly
That’s right… Amazon has put the penguin suit on their MP3 Downloader so Linux users can tap into Amazon’s collection of DRM-Free MP3s. As of today, the company is providing DEBs for Ubuntu/Debian and RPMs for Fedora/OpenSUSE. I just installed it on my Ubuntu Gutsy system and can confirm that installing the downloader was as easy as the instructions supplied suggested. Once installed, the launcher for the application can be found in Applications > Internet. The downloader will also auto-launch any time you make an MP3 download purchase on the site itself.
