View Picasa Web Album Photos in Windows Media Center with mcePicasa

Everyone has their preference on which photo-sharing site they like best. If yours is Google’s Picasa and you’re running Windows Media Center, have a look at mcePicasa to bring your PC some added functionality. According to the product page, not only can users of this add-in view, search, and browse hosted images online at Picasa, they can also edit and upload photos through the interface as well (pretty neat). Warning though… the add-in is currently in its Alpha stage, but the lead developer states it will be in Beta around March – so handle with care. If you have the coding chops and want to contribute with development, it appears that mcePicasa is licensed under Microsoft Public License (aka Microsoft’s open-source license).
