Media Center to Finally Add DVD Streaming to Extenders
According to Jerold Billings at The Green Button, the long awaited feature of streaming DVDs via Windows Media Center has been confirmed as “in-development” at Microsoft (via Chris Lanier). Up until this confirmation, playing back DVDs on extenders was not possible with the exception of extremely high-end installations – far out of the reach of the average consumer. If true, this development could potentially mean the average consumer would be able to purchase a large DVD changer, put their library of movies into it, and share it with the extenders on their network.
