Belkin Flywire HDMI Wireless Transmitter

belkin flywireHere’s an adapter that will be sure to make HD technophiles put some cash aside until mid-year’s launch date. Belkin Flywire promises to deliver a pure, uncompressed 1080p HDMI signal to a HDTV up to 100-feet away and allow for 6 device channels to output video through its wireless connection (the accompanying wireless receiver is designed to be hidden behind a mounted HDTV). But that’s not all… Flywire can also accommodate non-HDMI sources like a DVD player, cable box, TiVo, game console, etc and upconvert their signal to 1080p (there’s debate if the device will actually be able to upconvert or not — the Belkin rep at CES says it does). Suggested retail price is expected to be around $599.
