Microsoft Puts a Call Out to Enthusiasts for Input on MS’s Connected Home Strategy
It appears that Microsoft wants to get serious about its Connected Home strategy and begin tying all their products together into a cohesive multimedia environment (via Ian Dixon). (And here we thought Microsoft was doing just that since their initial launch of Windows Media Center.) Microsoft’s Charlie Owen’s plan on doing this is by bringing the Media Center, WHS, Xbox, and Zune departments to the table to hash out a new interoperability strategy. (Kind of reminds me of the problem our government agencies had when trying to share critical information.) As such, Charlie is interested in getting feedback from the user base on what they’d like to see, which he’ll then pass on to the various groups. Your input can be added to the comments section of his blog post on the topic.
