New (Juicy) SlingCatcher Details

The Tomo Report has posted box photos of the forthcoming SlingCatcher which details its capabilities and codec formats the device is capable of playing back while streaming content from a PC, external storage, or memory stick (via Floppyhead). That’s right… SlingCatcher is a full-on digital media adapter device (with MPEG-2/4, Xvid, WMV, DVD .VOB support) that works in conjunction with it’s sister product the Slingbox. Using your existing broadband connection, directly access streaming Internet video from www.sling.com and other popular locations.

Watch Video From – YOUR PC

If you can play a video on your PC, you can project it wirelessly to your TV with SlingCatcher. Or, connect external storage and sync video files from your PC to the SlingCatcher for storage or viewing.

SLINGSYNC SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
SlingSync enables you to transfer video and audio files from your PC to SlingCatcher for playback on your TV

SlingCatcher requires optional USB 2.0 hard disk drive or USB 2.0 Flash memory stick accessory with at least 1GB free space to support SlingSync

Supported Media Formats:
Video: WMV, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, Xvid
Audio: MP2, MP3, WMA, AAC, AC3, PCM
File Formats: AVI, ASF, MPG, MOV, VOB [sorry, the rest is unreadable in the photo]
