Internet Radio Gets a Reprieve – For Now

Everyone can breath a sigh of relief today. Wired reports that SoundExchange has postponed their fee increases – which were due to go in effect on Monday – on Internet radio broadcasters and is working with key players attending the Copyright Royality Board hearing to renegotiate “workable” royalty rates. If you were one of the millions who contacted Congress to “Save Net Radio”, pat yourself on the back because your message got through. Now lets hope that a fair solution, to both parties, can be hammered out so we can all continue enjoying this fantastic medium.
