I’ve been debating getting a MacBook Pro recently (love the fact that I can run OS X, Linux, Windows all on one machine) and converting my desktop PC into a server. However, I really haven’t been too keen on the available notebook stands. Enter Floater, an aluminum dock machined from a single piece of aluminum that helps dissipate heat and holds your notebook in a space-saving upright position (via Uncrate). The idea is that you’ll use it side-by-side with your large screen monitor and your surrounding peripherals. Overall, the design is quite attractive. But, unfortunately, the Floater will cost you a pretty penny at $305.
