Asustek to Preview Two Wireless Internet Radio Devices at Computex
According to InfoWorld, Asustek is planning on showing off two wi-fi Internet radios that will be launching by year end. The devices are capable of tuning into your favorite web radio stations, playback tracks from a USB flash stick, and, one of them at least, doubles as a dock for your iPod. The Asustek Internet Radio 1 (AIR 1) is expected to retail for $200 and the iPod compatible AIR 3 will sell for $400. At this point, I’m wondering why these manufactures aren’t offing HD radio (or at the very least AM/FM) as part of the package?
