SnapStream Blog: Placeshifting with Beyond TV and Orb

snapstream beyond tv orb browser

If you’ve been looking for an easy guide on how to integrate Orb into your Beyond TV setup, have a look at SnapStream’s blog post on the topic. It’s actually easier than you might think. All that’s really required is for you to download the Orb PC host application, specify your audio/photo/video/tv/document folders, and then login to your account online to make sure Orb has been configured correctly. At that point, you’ll be able to access your content anywhere in the world – at no charge – from your mobile, a PC browser, and even your game console (if supported).

If you want to just placeshift (stream) your recorded TV shows without using ORB, you can also use ccarlins latest version of the built-in BeyondTV webadmin It doesn’t use as much CPU and it’s built into BeyondTV. All you need to add to your setup is VLC (free video app) and the latest version of webadmin as modified by ccarlin.
