Mvix Adds Network Storage Functionality to Its MX-760HD Media Player

mvix mx760hdLooks like the guys at Mvix are busy bees releasing their sixth firmware update in four months. However, the bigger news is that the Mvix MX-760HD portable media drive player can now double as a network attached storage server! Users can easily add or access files from the drive using the Ximeta licensed NDAS add-on from the comfort of their PC. Full release notes for firmware v1.1.27 and instructions are available here. Nice work Mvix!

Developer Notes: “MvixUSA has licensed the NDAS firmware from Ximeta, Inc. Ximeta requires a licensing fee per customer, but MvixUSA has decided to bear that licensing costs themselves (for US/Canadian Mvix Customers) and not pass it on to consumers!”
