Review: Bubba Mini Home Server Appliance at Linux.com

bubba server and web interfaceIt was August 18th of 2006 when we broke the story on Bubba, an uber-compact home server appliance that ran a full-featured Debian GNU/Linux operating system and sported a custom made, easy to use web browser management interface that allowed users to make backups, manage files/folders, passively download torrent files, function as an iTunes music server, and more. Now, the guys at Linux.com have weighed in on the product, after putting it through its paces, and give it an impressive 9 out 10 rating. The reviewer states: “Bubba is the best Linux-based product I’ve tried. It’s the best of both worlds: easy enough to use that Windows and Apple users can quickly harness it to do their bidding, and familiar enough to Linux users that they can use GUI and CLI alike to make it sit up and do tricks.”
