Amazon Unbox on TiVo Just Got a Whole Lot Cooler with “Unbox on Demand”

As many of you know Amazon & TiVo just recently made it possible for Unbox movie consumers to view their Windows PC purchased/rented selections on a TiVo set-top. Now, a creative developer by the name of Doug Swallow has taken the Amazon Unbox on TiVo service to the next level by allowing TiVo users to scan, review (with cover art), and purchase/rent movies directly from the TV with Unbox on Demand (screenshots). The only bummer is that Unbox on Demand still requires that a powered-on Windows PC be part of the equation. Why? According to TiVo Lovers, “This an an HME application that you install on your local PC. You access it from the Music, Photos, Products, & More screen on your TiVo and it allows you to order Unbox movies from the TiVo without going to the PC.”
