Hack Your Mac mini or Macbook to Run the Apple TV OS

Seems that a few people out there think the Apple TV offering is superior to Apple’s Front Row enough to hack their very own installation together (via Digg). As evidence, Apple TV Hacks has posted details on how to run the Apple TV OS on a Macbook (see video below), but the instructions can easily be ported for use on an Intel-based Mac mini. And then there’s the Front Row themes/scripts (link-1, link-2) floating around based on the Apple TV interface. Looks like Apple might have to rethink their Front Row strategy – or at least integrate some of the Apple TV’s sexiness into the package.
