Sneak Peek: Xbox 360 Version 2

xbox zephyr backside engadget

Engadget has scored a pic of the backside of version 2 of the Xbox 360 (aka Zephyr). According to what their “insider” has told them, the new console will feature an HDMI port, full 1080p resolution capabilities, 120GB hard drive, and a cooler 65nm processor. What, no built-in HD DVD drive? It’s also unclear if the 120GB drive will be built-in or just offered as an external device. Availability: The insider says, “soon.” Stay tuned… the console wars aren’t over yet folks. (Thanks Brian Workman for the tip!)

Let us hope that Microsoft is smart enough to make this HDMI 1.3. Also I wonder if the new 120 gb hd is to allow for more Media Center features?
