Too bad the guys at Parallels didn’t release Coherence earlier in the year, they probably would have won an award for most innovative tech product of 2006. In my opinion, Coherence is one of those technologies that creates a major shift in how people use and think about personal computers (in this case via virtualization and windows trickery). Below is a video walk-through put together by Lifehacker that shows Coherence in action running Windows and Mac apps side-by-side on top of OS X. Psst: Ben Rudolph at Parallels tells me that we’ll being seeing Coherence in Parallels’ Linux and Windows products in the near future as well.

Want to really have fun with Coherence? Run Stardock’s WindowBlinds with a good Aqua theme. It looks like you’re running nothing but Mac applications. It so cool, I even get confused about what is what! :D
