Empty Space of Hi-Def Movie Discs to be Filled with Interactive Ads -Yippee

How annoying is this? As if being bombarded with trailers before your main movie begins wasn’t bad enough, now the studios are starting to experiment with interactive ads in HD DVD discs, reports the NY Times (via Ad-Jab, ZNF). As you know, there’s lot of space on those discs, so the studios are thinking: Why not fill the unused space up with revenue generating features?
