Tom’s Hardware: MythTV Plug-ins Overview

If you’re new to MythTV or have been a long-time user, Tom’s Hardware has posted an excellent overview of the 13 most popular plug-ins for the MythTV platform (including ones for the MythTV front-end application). It’s an instant bookmark for later reference. T.H. covers: MythArchive, MythBrowser, MythControls, MythDVD, MythFlix, MythGallery, MythGame, MythMusic, MythNews, MythPhone, MythVideo, MythWeather, MythWeb. The authors at the end of the article state that in a subsequent post they’ll be looking at “unofficial” plug-ins that are also available. Personally, I’d like to see in-depth coverage on MythStream, a plug-in that lets users placeshift their live and previously recorded TV content over a home network or over the Internet similar to a Slingbox.
