Mister Tipster™ utilizes the increasingly popular technology of RSS (Real Simple Syndication), which is used by thousands of websites worldwide to transmit a variety of data, or “feeds,” so users can instantly see when new content is added, without having to visit each site individually.

The small, stylish display unit allows users to keep current on all the latest headlines, financial news, weather reports, sports scores, blog updates and even jokes – all without taking space away from the spreadsheet, document, browser or game on their computer screen. And when a headline on the display catches a user’s interest, a single mouse click will call up a recent headline listing on their computer screen, and a second click will automatically point their default Internet browser to the full article on the publisher’s website. Mister Tipster™ can even be set to illuminate any of three alert lights when selected words or phrases are detected in headline text.

Mister Tipster’s simple, Windows XP-based software lets users assemble a library of their favorite RSS feeds and choose which ones they want to monitor on the display. And if they’re not sure where to find feeds, the software can connect them to a Web-based list of popular RSS feeds and automatically add the ones they select to their library.
