Microsoft Says Bye Bye to Virtual PC on the Mac

microsoft virtual pc for macIn a market that seems to be becoming increasingly more competitive, Microsoft has decided to not update its Virtual PC software for use on Apple’s new Intel based Macs stating that the company would have to in essence rebuild the product from scratch due to “how closely the product integrates with Mac hardware.” No doubt this is great news for current Mac virtualization leader, Paralles, and newcomer VMware who should have their product available by year end. Question: Why isn’t Microsoft playing Apple’s game and creating (or helping to create) a virtualization app that will let Windows users install OS X? Or is this just lame?
