ODD-i P11N PMP Integrates Media, Camera and GPS

And so the trend continues. As I’ve commented before, it looks like integrated GPS is quickly becoming a competitive necessity for portable devices of all sorts. Whether phones or PDAs, GPS is in. So, it would seem that PMPs are a natural fit as Akihabara News brings the word on yet another GPS capable PMP, the ODD-i P11N. Nice name, eh?
The P11N does sport some pretty nice features like a 4 inch TFT LCD at 480×272 widescreen resolution, Win CE 5.0, and a 2 megapixel built-in camera. Available in up to 30GB of space, the P11N can also record directly from TV, is USB2.0 host capable and can work as an eBook reader. Also, you’ll get all sorts of codec support with it’s ability to playback MPEG-1/4, DivX, XviD and WMV videos and MP3, WMA, OGG and AC3 audio files. The integrated SIRF Star III GPS gives you a pretty new GPS standard that is pretty darned accurate. No word on a US release or pricing.
