x10n browser controlAre you X10 device happy in your home, but somewhat frustrated by the less than stylish controls that harken back to 1960s Star Trek designs? Have you ever sat at your computer desk just wishing you could turn the living room lamps off? Really? I thought that was just me. The user interface is easy to use and navigate, the support center is good, and the software has other personal assistant features built in. A free download is available at http://www.ImprovingTomorrow.com check it out before you buy…

Had a look at both yesterday, and my thoughts are:

    x10n
    - silly name, but very easy to install
    - works seamlessly with my x10stuff
    - really interesting skins – I am going to try and get it working with a star trek skin..

    CHAD x10Webrowser
    - Great idea, not so sure about the implementation
    - much, much more expensive (I think 4 times the price)
    - couldn’t get the demo to work.

I think that the CHAD system would be good in the future, if they manage to get it going. But the x10n works straight off and seems to offer an upgrade path to the more powerful “home hub” system which I will try soon…

    Now with touchscreen support

Surely this must be the lowest cost way to get a quality home control system.

X10n now supports the RAD-I/O touchscreens from Touchtronix.
