Wirelessly Connect Your PC to Your Stereo and TV with RadioFRITZ! and VideoFRITZ!

video fritzGot lots of cool video and audio content on your PC that would look great on a TV? Tired of watching that content on a overly bright, not big enough 20″ Widescreen Dell monitor? Well, AVM has a solution for you. Mobile Magazine has the scoop on two new devices called the RadioFRITZ! and VideoFRITZ!, which will let you listen to your audio on your stereo system and watch your video on your TV, wirelessly of course.

Using your existing WLAN connection, the devices allow you to send your audio and video goodness to your stereo or TV of choice. You’ve also got support for all sorts of codecs, including the “pretty-boy” codec H.264. Also, with support for UPnP-AV (Universal Plug & Play – Audio/Video), setup should be a breeze. No word yet on pricing and availability.

Please help me out here David: what is the news?

I mean there are a million devices in the market that are designed to do just that. So if your intention was to say hey there is another one, then you should have done that, but making it look like there is finally this revolutionary solution that can let you stream content from your PC is like mocking your readers. Just my 2 cents about the kind of responsibility you have as a journalist or an amateur journalist, etc.

    Edit:

Going over your wording again, I must say it sounds like an ad not a news article... I am not implying anything just saying how it is written.

i think this is news. is there another device similar to this one that can handle h.264 video? other than an expensive HTPC or xbox media center, which cannot handle all h.264 video without dropping frames because of the xbox horsepower limitations, i haven't seen another device than can. if you know of other media streamers that can handle h.264 video, please let us know, because that would also be news to me.

Supporting H.264 is meaningless really without talking about the resolution. I mean iPod and PSP support H.264 but that does not constitute a real solution since people typically want higher res. If H.264 was the news then the article should have discussed this issue and at least state if the unit can do HD or not, but H.264 is mentioned as a side note, not as the news so give me a break, this is a joke not a piece of news!

If you want news in this area then why not talk about the Sigma chipset that allows decoding of h.264 HD and WMV/VC-1 HD? I mean most of those media players are based on the Sigma chipset so this would indicate that the next wave of them will do just that.
