ShowShifter R.I.P

showshifter closedIt looks like one of the early pioneers in the PC PVR space has fallen. If you go to www.showshifter.com, the site is “virtually” boarded up and closed for business. Interested in buying the company’s assests? There’s a note on the front page that will direct you to the person to talk to – even the developers are for sale, or should I say… looking for work.

This is sad news for people tracking this space, but I guess it was only time since ShowShifter hasn’t had any major announcements (at least that I can remember) in the past two years.

    I've been in the streaming video industry for about 6 years, I go to CES all the time, and check this web site daily. I'm surprised I've never heard of this company. I wonder what they did.
