HDTV HDMI Connection Without the Wires from Radiospire

wireless hdmiIf you’re like me and have an entertainment center that looks like a snake pit in the back, then wireless connections for your audio/video needs probably greatly interest you. For HDMI connections, Radiospire has a solution that will tickle your fancy (via HD Beat). Whereas the current chipset will only give you 15 feet of room to play with, you do get a 3Gbps transfer rate. At that speed, you can transfer full HDCP 1080p video and audio without having to compress it. And, you’ll be able to kill at least a few of the snakes lingering behind your entertainment center.

Sounds exactly what I have been looking for. I have a cable going across my rug to a projection TV. Have tried to find alternatives to the cable . Tried a wireless link that had component in and out – piece of junk – terrible quality and very large delay due to compression versus the audio.

For regular quality wireless TV, have had excellent results with AngleTrax – but this is composit/RCA only. For HDTV – this Radiospire looks like it – but Radiospire is a chipset manufacturer – when will this come out in a retail product?

Hopefully – it will come in the form of a box that can have a number of inputs (Component, VGA, DVI, etc.) and transmit to a receiving box – which should also have a few connectors itself -as many existing HDTV display devices do not have the latest connectors.

The product has its own page now – http://www.radiospire.com/UniCast_TX.php

However, I can’t seem to find the product for sale online. If you’re looking for something like this, keep your eye out for the Belkin Flywire which should be out around Summer/Fall of this year.
