Get a Web Server on a Stick with WebServUSB
It would appear that USB devices are growing in functionality as much as they are in size. Here is a perfect example. You can now get a fully featured web server on a USB stick from WebServUSB (via The Red Ferret Journal). Given that some companies spend thousands of dollars on separate web servers, you’d think that this little stick of wonder would be all hype, right? Well, all things considered, it has a pretty impressive feature set that starts at only $89.
For starters, it features a user database that can handle many users for both HTTP and FTP services. Plus, these users exist without connection to the user accounts on the Windows based PC it’s plugged into. On the web server side, WebServUSB handles CGI scripts, Perl, PHP, MySQL, Flash, RealMedia and Windows Media. Plus, any settings you make stay on the USB stick, making your site completely portable. Add to that remote web based administration and you’ve got a pretty impressive feature set. There’s even a link to a live demo of a website running off of one of these super sticks. You can get the WebServUSB stick in configurations up to 1GB, with the 128MB stick costing $89.95 and the 1GB costing you $399.95.

They just dropped the price to $69.95. I want my $20 back. Also the order has been sitting in back order status for 3 days now with no idea of when it is going to ship. Has anybody actually tried this product. I am not sure it actually exists.
