TiVo Adds Undelete Feature

dave zatz tivo recently deleted screenshotEver wish you could undelete a program you previously told TiVo to erase? Well everyone, TiVo has read your mind (actually they listened to users’ feedback). According to Dave Zatz, TiVo has created a sort of purgatory folder called “Recently Deleted,” that after a specified time, will permanently delete a program if a user decides not to restore it back to their saved programs library. Pretty neat. I’m surprised this wasn’t apart of the feature-set from the get go.

    I figured it had undelete functionality built in about 6 mos. ago (I’m not a huge Tivo user, I’ve only owned my DTV Tivo for about a year, I’ve moved to a MCE HTPC box right after that). I deleted a prog accidentally and went looking for the undo function with no success after telling the wife ‘Sure I can get it back, I’ll just undo’. And I assume that this feature will only be given to Tivo stand alone users.
