OnHollywood will focus on the challenges, opportunities and business models of the digital era, showcasing top innovative private companies that are revolutionizing the way media and entertainment is created, distributed and consumed.
The two and a half day industry insider event borrows from the film market tradition by providing an open environment where 60 top digital entertainment and media entrepreneurs meet with studio, telco, consumer electronics executives, investors and key VCs. The event provides a unique forum for executives to create strategic partnerships, generate deals and meet key industry influencers.
Attendees include industry leaders such as Yahoo!, Disney, Sprint, News Corp., entrepreneurs from convergence pioneers such as MySpace and Skype, digital media focused VCs such as Mobius, Red Point and Draper Fisher, and talent agents from CAA and William Morris.
“OnHollywood is where cutting edge technology from the backstreets of Silicon Valley meets Hollywood’s digital media revolution,” said Tony Perkins, founder and editor, AlwaysOn. “The event promises to be a love-fest between digital media and entertainment entrepreneurs and the big studio, telco and consumer electronics brands. It’s the first conference of its kind and brings home the fact that Hollywood and Silicon Valley are now inextricably entwined.”
OnHollywood will also showcase the OnHollywood 100, a power list of the top digital media and entertainment companies. The OnHollywood 100 are evaluated against the following five criteria: innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation. The winners will be honored at OnHollywood and featured in the Spring issue of AlwaysOn print blogzine and profiled on www.alwayson-network.com.
The format of the Summit will follow key interactive panel discussions, company demos, along with a Fireside Chat and recognition of the OnHollywood 100 companies. The Summit will also be streamed to a global webcast audience of over 25,000.
Up to 60 CEOs of OnHollywood nominated companies are pre-qualified to present a CEO demo of their products / services and business models in front of both the live and webcast audiences. The deadline to sign up for a CEO Demo at OnHollywood 2006 is February 28, 2006.
