Google Maps for Windows Media Center

google maps mceNot sure how useful this ultimately is, but Colin Savage put together a hack for getting Google Maps to work within Microsoft Media Center 2005, controllable through the remote no less (via Jake Ludington’s MediaBlab). The directional controls navigate the map, while you zoom in and out with the channel buttons. The 1, 2, and 3 buttons change to map view, satellite view and hybrid view respectively. According to Jake, this also apparently works on a Xbox360 connected to your MCE PC. It may not be all that useful, but it’s a pretty cool hack nonetheless.
