Ricavision Plix Extria Media Center Computer Impresses

After CES, it was clear that there is a big focus on giving you control over your television viewing. Ricavision has stepped into the ring with the impressive Plix Extria Media Center PC (via The Inquirer). Boasting cutting-edge specs and a living room friendly design, Ricavision is one of the first companies out-of-the-gate with Intel Viiv inside.
The Plix Extria houses the Intel Dual Core Pentium D 3.2 Extreme Edition CPU, ensuring top performance under high demand. If gaming is your thing, the NVidia 7800GT video card with 256MB RAM and Dual DVI outs will fit the bill nicely. Intel supplies support for 7.1 HD audio on its Viiv 975 ATX motherboard. The Extria will also sport 2GB of DDR-II RAM and an Nvidia Dual NTSC TV Tuner with S-Video inputs. Throw in a Dual-Layer DVD Burner and front-panel LCD display for good measure. To bring it all home, you can configure up to 2.5TB (yes, Terabytes) of storage for all of those HD recordings you’ll be making. These options are configurable, as you would expect. Also, expect to pay between $3000 to $5000 for the bragging rights you’ll get by having this in your home.
