Use Your Sony PSP as an iTunes Remote with CoverBuddy

psp cover buddyOS X users take note. CoverBuddy will turn your Sony PSP into a remote control for iTunes (via DAPreview)! Using the PSP’s built in WiFi capabilities, CoverBuddy gives you the ability to control iTunes from wherever your PSP may take you. Oh yeah, CoverBuddy also enhances the iTunes interface with Album covers.

All of this functionality goodness is available now for only $19.99. We’ll be on the lookout for a Windows equivalent if one should become available.

    Hi David,

PlayerPal now supports iTunes as well as Windows Media Player. The PlayerPal iTunes remote is now available as a public beta version. It has a specially designed PSP skin, a PDA skin and a desktop browser skin. All of these skins provide iTunes remote control. You can also design and add your own skins for other devices.

PlayerPal is $19.95 and a free trial can be downloaded from the PlayerPal iTunes remote beta page. This will not be available on the main site until the Beta is complete.

Below are a few images to give you a taster. More can be found on the beta page.

    Cheers,

    Ben

    Hi David,

Windows users can control their Windows Media Player music from the PSP using PlayerPal (Disclaimer - I am Mr PlayerPal). PlayerPal works in any web browser and users have been controlling their Windows Media Player music from the PSP for a while using PlayerPal.

An iTunes Version is nearing completion too, so I will update you when iTunes support is publicly available. If anyone wants to be on the private beta email beta@playerpal.com.

PlayerPal has fast track/album search and library browsing by art, artist, genre and year. Version 3.5 has just been released. You can see the features here and the screenshots here .

    Ben
