    If you could squeeze in an external hard drive into the enclosure and connect it to the router, it would make for a nice backup solution — in case your home gets hit with flood or fire damage.

    That’s a good point. Although, there would be a good chance that in fire damage, you’re SOL either way. Plus, if your abode burns down and your more worried about your Starwars BattleFront II save games, you got major problems. :0)

    The do have some fireproof enclosures for a hardrive that would make for great protection for a backing up data. I know that I have been considering additional ways to secure my data other than making DVD’s of it and keeping them locked up in a fireproof safe.
