Universal Desktop Station – Turn Your Cell Phone into a Traditional Phone
I just stumbled across this new little gadget at SmartHome.com that can turn your cell phone into a traditional form factor telephone. This is great for the person that doesn’t have a land line and uses their cell phone for hours at a time — no more overheating cellphones near your head. Besides the standard corded form factor, the “Universal Desktop Station” also offers speaker phone capabilities and charges the phone when docked. The unit retails for $79.99 and is compatible with almost all popular phones from Audiovox, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Nextel, and Sanyo cell phones; it is also compatible with Nokia, Samsung, Siemens, and Sony-Ericsson phones, although the included adapter cables will need to be used for these phones.

You know I really like this idea.
Reading further, in your link, one selling point states (It protecs you and your family from the risk of cell phone radiation.) Interesting !
This is a neat idea but I would like to see somebody come out with a completely self contained desktop cell phone that would be programmed with the same phone number as your regular cell phone! Then you wouldn’t need a land line or worry about doing anything else. When your cell rings,it rings on both your handheld and desktop if your at home you can answer on the desktop just like ypu would if you had a landline. We could eliminate landlines forever!
