Power Sentry PowerSquid 5 Outlet Power Multiplier

The other day I saw that Addicted to Digital Media posted a story on the Power Strip Liberator, which is basically a set of extension cables that you connect to bulky power tranformers on one end and to a power strip at the other. Initially I thought it was a cool idea to more effectively manage a bunch of power transformers, but Popular Science tipped readers, in its June 2005 issue, to a new product called the PowerSquid (retail $15). “It’s a power strip minus the strip: Each of the five female sockets is attached to its own cord, so bulky plugs won’t block other outlets.”

Features:

  • Converts 1 grounded outlet to 5 grounded adapter-ready outlets
  • Yellow lighted master switch with 15-amp circuit breaker
  • 4ft 14/3 power cord
