FeedDemon Embraces Podcasting

feeddemonFeedDemon, one of the most popular desktop based RSS/ATOM news feed aggregators, has upgraded their application to now fully support “Podcasting” and allow for the automatic syncing of content to not only iPod players, but any media device that shows up as a shared drive when connected to a PC.

“Podcasting refers to downloading audio enclosures and having them automatically synch with your iPod or other media device. Why would you want to do this? Well, for example, you could schedule your enclosures to be automatically downloaded to your iPod while you sleep. When you awake the next morning, just pick up your iPod and you can listen to your downloaded audio while you drive to work,” says Nick Bradbury, creator of FeedDemon. However, users don’t have to take their downloaded content on the go, they can store their scheduled Podcasts to a shared computer or network drive for later listening. – Via Digital Media Thoughts
