D-Link DVC-1100 Wireless Broadband VideoPhone

dvc 1100D-link has just released the DVC-1100, a new version of their Broadband VideoPhone, which now features 802.11b wireless connectivity. This is great news for people who have been considering purchasing the device for broadband video conferencing, but were turned off by the fact that you needed to run an Ethernet cable from the device to router in another room. Other than the added wireless connectivity the DVC-1100 offers the same functionality its predecessor, but still requires the person you want to communicate with to own D-Link VideoPhone as well [correction -- see below].

Feature Hightlights:
802.11b Wi-Fi
Picture-in-Picture
Up to 30 frames per second of smooth video
No PC required (just a broadband connection)
Ability to record Video calls using a VCR or DVD-R
Caller ID

Update: Michael Scott from D-Link informed us that D-Link i2eye is H.323 compliant and will work with any hardware or software that is compatible with the same standard, such as Microsoft’s NetMeeting or ICU2.
