KazaaKazaa, one of the most popular peer-to-peer (P2P) software programs, is attempting to offer legit services to content providers. In version 2.6, Kazaa hopes to entice game developers and music distributors to sell their wares online through their P2P software. Kazaa believes that their P2P method of distribution is the most efficient and cost effective way to deliver large file size programs and premium digital media content. For example, Kazaa suggests musicians create a digital package, which they call a “Kapsule,” that contains images, audio, video, lyrics, tour dates, and band information, thus offering the consumer a richer media experience.
